About the ISO9000 Family
ISO9000 is the family name for the set of standards which are concerned with the management of quality systems.
The ISO9000 family consists of a number of standards, but there are two main documents of interest to us here. These are:
* ISO9000 - Explains the requirements of ISO9001.
* ISO9001 - Requirements to meet in order to be ISO9000 registered.
These Standards provide requirements for eight basic principles:
* Customer focus
* Leadership
* Involvement
* Process
* A systematic approach to management
* Continual improvement
* Factual decision making
* Supplier relations.
