Yesterday (19/9/24) was the start of the new season for ECA English Drama, and I led the students through the key roles behind the scenes that enable a show to be put on.
I was so happy that many of the last season's Grade 7s returned! This means I have some experience in the crew with a special shout out to my stage manager, who, when he suddenly realised he had responsibilities during Alice, went from a typical grade 7 boy to a Professional Stage Manager. Sadly, the Grade 8's from last season are now in Grade 9 and preparing for their High School Entrance Exams, but they did pop in to see us at the end of the session. On the other hand, I look forward to giving the new grade 7s an experience to remember and learn from.
